If you’re shopping for an affordable Android smartphone, you might want to check out what has recently landed on AT&T’s network. The carrier has officially announced the Samsung Rugby Smart Android smartphone, which based on its specs can be considered a low-end Android device, which means that it should be wallet friendly. The device will be available come 4th of March for $99.99 on a new two-year contract, and this is what you will be getting for your money.

The Samsung Rugby Smart is touted as a rugged handset and has been built to military-specifications 810f standards, meaning it should be able to handle quite a bit of abuse. As far as the rest of its specs go, the device will sport a 3.7” WVGA Super AMOLED display, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card, a 1,650mAh battery, HSPA+ connectivity and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
