ASUS UK announces Android 4.0 for original Transformer next week

Owners of the original ASUS Transformer tablet, you might have heard from ASUS Singapore’s Facebook page that the Android 4.0 update will only be arriving in April. Given that this is only a little over a month away, it’s not really that big of a deal, right? Well you’re in luck as according to ASUS UK’s Facebook page, the update could very well be released by the end of February!

“A quick refresher on the TF101 ICS Update that you are all so patiently waiting for. Our engineers are working hard on getting this ready for you as soon as possible and are still aiming for a February release. As always as soon as we hear any further news or a definitive date we will let you know.”

It should be noted that this is in no way a confirmation of a February release, but let’s hope that ASUS will manage to keep to their schedule. Worst comes to worst we still have that April date to fall back on.
