ASUS Transformer to receive Android 4.0 update later this month?

Good news ASUS Transformer owners! If you have been looking forward to seeing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on your tablet, the good news is that you might not have to wait much longer. According to ASUS’s Google Plus page, it looks like the Android 4.0 update for the tablet is expected to roll out some time later this month. No specific date was mentioned but given that February is the shortest month in the year, we guess our wait will not have to be that long. According to ASUS:

“Several of you have asked for a specific date on the ICS update for TF101. We don’t have an exact date yet, but it should be this month. Our engineers are all back from their Chinese New Year celebrations now so we will have an up to date schedule shortly. As soon as we know more, we’ll let you know on here, so stay tuned and thanks for your support!”

The update will be rolled out as an OTA update, which means that you should receive the notifications to update when it is ready for download. However check back in with us from time to time as we will let you know too when the Android 4.0 update begins rolling out for the original Transformer tablet.
