ASUS Padfone announcement teased in video

Last year ASUS teased us with the Padfone, a hybrid sort of device which was a tablet that had a detachable phone embedded in it. A pretty interesting and almost novel idea, but we expect to see the device make another appearance at MWC later next week, which will hopefully see a release in the near future. Specs of the tablet are expected to change, especially since the Transformer Prime tablet has already been released with NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor on board, so there is a good chance of seeing the Padfone sport a quad-core processor as well.

The company has since launched a teaser video which some suspect could be about the impending Padfone launch. The ad displays “1 + 1 + 1 = endless possibilities”, and some are thinking that it means phone + tablet + keyboard dock. Admittedly a bit of a stretch, but we’ll take it.
