Android 4.0 update for HTC Sensation XE coming “early this year”

Good news HTC Sensation XE owners, if you just bought your device and you were wondering when it would be seeing the much awaited Android 4.0 update, well you’ll be pleased to hear that according to HTC, the Ice Cream Sandwich update for your device will be arriving “early this year”. 

It’s rather ambiguous but hopefully Q1 2012 will be time frame in which Android 4.0 will be rolled out to the HTC Sensation XE. Unfortunately there was no mention of the Amaze 4G which is the US variant of the Sensation XE, but given how updates for the US generally have to pass through the carriers first, it looks like Sensation XE owners in the UK/Europe/Asia may very well receive the update first.
