ADzero Android smartphone is made out of bamboo

Most phones are made out of plastic, metal, glass, etc, but rarely (if ever) have we come across a phone that has been made out of bamboo! Yes such a device does exist and it has been dubbed the ADzero and was created by Middlesex University student, Kieron-Scott Woodhouse, and the good news is that it could be hitting our shelves pretty soon.

Most phones with odd designs have usually ended up being nothing more than a concept, but we guess the unique look has managed to capture the attention of phone makers who decided to turn it into a reality. The device will be made out of four-year old organic bamboo and will run on Android as its choice of operating system, although for some reason I personally feel Windows Phone would have been a nicer touch.

Originally planned for an Asia launch, the device is now gearing up for a launch in the UK as well and will be marketed as a boutique device as opposed to a mass produced one. Unfortunately no word on its specs or pricing just yet, but we wouldn’t mind getting our hands on it!
