Acer has put out several Android smartphones and tablets in the past, and has even attempted their hand at Windows Phone devices, but unfortunately they don’t appear to be doing as well compared to other handset manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG, etc. Well things might change in 2012 as the photo above is supposed to be that of an upcoming Acer handset dubbed the Acer CloudMobile.

The handset’s design apparently won the company the iF design award for outstanding achievement in design, but it will supposedly be the company’s flagship phone for 2012. Unfortunately detailed specs of the handset are a bit fuzzy at this point, but what we do know is that it is expected to sport a 4.3” HD display, Dolby sound with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board, and will offer AcerCloud technology, which supposedly “enhances mobile productivity by providing seamless document management”.

If this is indeed the company’s upcoming flagship phone for 2012, there is a good chance it will be making an appearance at MWC 2012, so check back with us during the event as we will try to get you more details about the device.
