Looking to get your hands on a brand new tablet? Well, if you’ve enjoyed ViewSonic’s range of monitors, perhaps you’d like to take a look at their tablet offerings in the form of the ViewPad 10e. The tablet, for those who may not recall, is the successor to the original ViewPad 10 and was first introduced back in October. It has yet to go on sale but thanks to online retailers such as J&R, it has been given a price between $299-$399, with Amazon quoting the higher end of the price scale.

Considering that the tablet was designed to be an entry level tablet, $399 does seem like quite a lot to ask for, especially since its specs can hardly be considered high-end. A quick recap of the ViewPad 10e’s specs includes a 9.7” 1026×768 IPS display, a single-core 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

It will also come fitted with micro USB, microSD and HDMI port and to top it all off, it will come loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread as opposed to Honeycomb 3.2, or even Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However if you feel like you will be able to justify paying $299 for the ViewSonic ViewPad 10e, you will be able to pre-order one off J&R’s website.
