Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note to receive Android 4.0 update in Q1 2012

Good news Samsung owners, if you own (or are going to own) either the Samsung Galaxy S2 or the Galaxy Note, the company’s Norwegian arm has revealed that both of these devices are scheduled to receive the much anticipated Android 4.0 update come Q1 2012. Exact dates remain a bit sketchy for now, but at least owners of either devices now have something (and a rough time line) that they can look forward to.

Unfortunately given how the Norwegian arm of Samsung made this announcement, it is widely believed that Norway and Europe will most likely be seeing the update before the rest of the world does, and given the carrier restrictions and variants of the Galaxy S2 that are available in the US, sad to say we expect the Android 4.0 update to hit the US later than expected. However since no dates have actually been released, this is purely speculation for now.
