Motorola Droid Bionic update currently undergoing testing

Heads up Motorola Droid Bionic owners, it looks like Motorola is currently testing yet another update for your device. The new update appears to be that of a minor one and should see your firmware version get updated to version 5.9.902. The update is expected to see the removal of Verizon’s VCast Music app, which will unfortunately (or fortunately depending how often you actually use it) be replaced by Amazon’s MP3 store instead. It will also see a Google security patch applied.

Motorola’s legal team also appears to be have been involved with this update as how the phone displays its licensing agreement also has been changed, along with a reconfirmation with the user when he/she consents to share location data after the device has been reset. No word on when Motorola will be rolling out this new update to the rest of the Droid Bionic owners, but assuming all goes well with the testing, we expect that the update should be ready for the public’s consumption soon.
