LG Optimus Pad LTE announced

There aren’t too many LTE capable tablets out there in the market, and looking to add to the relatively small list of LTE capable Android tablets would be LG with their brand new Optimus Pad LTE which is expected to see an initial release in South Korea before making its way to the rest of the world (although its LTE functionality may be missing from countries without LTE support).

As far as its specs are concerned, the LG Optimus Pad LTE will feature an 8.9” True HD 1280×720 IPS display, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. It will also feature 32GB of internal storage and will support microSD card expansion for up to an additional 32GB and will run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. No word if LG has plans to bump this tablet up to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the future, but we wouldn’t completely rule it out.

Unfortunately no word on how much the LG Optimus Pad LTE will cost, or when exactly it will be made available for the rest of the world, but we’re guessing its IPS display and LTE connectivity should be attractive enough for most customers to want to get their hands on it.
