As an adult, why should your kids be left out of the tablet fun, right? Well if you’re planning to get your child a tablet but want to restrict what they can do/view on it, you might be interested in checking out the Kurio Android tablet that has been designed for children in mind.

The tablet is expected to come in either a 7”, 8” or 10” size and will sport 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. While its processor and RAM is somewhat of a mystery for now, what we do know is that it will sport a 0.3MP front-facing camera, with the 8” and 10” models featuring an additional 2MP rear-facing camera. It will also allow for 1080p Full HD video playback and surprisingly it even comes loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Children-friendly features present in the tablet include software whose profiles (up to eight children) can be set to allow for varying degrees of freedom. This includes access to apps and websites. The tablet will also come with a child-proof rubberized case which we’re guessing will help protect the tablet against bumps and short drops. Inspiration Works is planning to launch the Kurio tablets some time in July and will go for £150 (7”), £180 (8”) and £200 (10”).
