Holiday cheer level: Asian with Samsung Galaxy XMAS HUGS

Don’t be the Forever Lonely person, especially when you are living in a bustling metropolis like Tokyo. You might want to make a beeline for the Samsung Galaxy Café at Roppongi Hills this year in order to meet Galaxy XMAS HUGS, better known as Hug-chan (where “chan” is a term of endearment that is more often than not attached to the names of girls in Japan), who is more than willing to greet you with a comforting, warm hug, although a certain distance remains thanks to her robot air-cushioned arms.

This is not a real person, as a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE will function as its “face”, while there is a Samsung Galaxy S II LTE that will be its “heart”. What makes Hug-chan all the more interesting is the exclusive use of both devices’ processing capabilities that enable it to perform a myriad of actions, such as dancing, singing and its primary purpose of existence, hugging.
