For those planning to get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Liquid mobile development platform (MDP) tablet, the good news is that according to Qualcomm, the tablet has recently seen an upgrade to Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.

A quick refresher for those who might have forgotten or aren’t familiar with Qualcomm’s MDP. The tablet was designed for the power hungry consumer in mind, or rather a developer who might need a platform to test their creations out on. It will pack a 1366×768 10.1” display with a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, both of which are apparently capable of shooting 1080p Full HD videos. It is quite the power house and will come packed with a variety of sensors, but unfortunately we’re guessing that the tablet will not come cheap.

No word on how much it will cost but the MDP is expected to be available come second half of 2012, so if you fancy yourself a developer in need of some powerful hardware to code on, you might want to keep an eye out for the Android 4.0 MDP by Qualcomm.
