Motorola DROID 4 pictured in the wild

The Motorola DROID 4 has been pictured several times, but for those looking for additional images, here’s another one of the DROID 4 in the wild. It sports Motorola’s trademark design with the tapered edges much like the Droid RAZR and the Photon 4G. The device is expected to see a launch come 8th of December which some had pegged as the release date of the much anticipated Galaxy Nexus as well.

There are some who also think that the 8th of December will be when Verizon is taking the opportunity to launch several new products, which we’re guessing is aimed at the Christmas shopping season. Apart from the DROID 4 and the Galaxy Nexus, Verizon is expected to launch Motorola’s new Droid Xyboard (Xoom 2) tablets as well. Given that we’re only a few days away from the 8th of December, we guess we’ll just wait and see if those rumors hold out.

There’s also a good chance that the launch of these new products will be overshadowed by the much anticipated Galaxy Nexus, but if you’re in the market for a tablet or a smartphone with a slideout QWERTY keyboard, then we guess it shouldn’t really matter.
