While Intel’s mobile chipset, Medfield, has yet to be released, it seems that the company is already thinking about its successor, which according to Digitimes will be dubbed as the Clover Trail-W Atom. The Intel Medfield chipset has been rumored to start making their way into devices in the first half of 2012, but unfortunately there is no word on when Clover Trail-W Atom will arrive, assuming it does exist at all, but supposedly the Clover Trail-W Atom processors will run Windows 8 and will be in competition with WOA (Windows-on-ARM) devices.
