Ice Cream Sandwich ROM in the works for the LG Optimus M

If you happen to own the LG Optimus M, the good news is that if you’d rather not wait around for LG to roll out an update for your handset, a developer on the AndroidForums has managed to pull the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 source code from an AOSP ICS ROM. This is still in the early stages of course, but the good news is that LG Optimus M owners will be able to look forward to an ICS ROM on their handsets some time in the future.

Unfortunately like we said, this appears to be an early build so there’s no download link yet for the ROM, but if you’re interested in giving the developer a hand in testing out the ROM and providing feedback, or if you just want to check on the progress of the ROM, you can head on down to the thread on AndroidForums for more information.
