HTC Flyer appears to have been discontinued

If you were planning on getting your hands on the HTC Flyer, it would seem that heading over to Best Buy, the HTC Flyer’s official retailer, will reveal that the device is apparently no longer available. Not out of stock mind you, but no longer available which seems to confirm that HTC has indeed decided to discontinue the sales of their 7” Android tablet.

Its steep price, and let’s not forget how they were initially charging customers an extra $80 for the Scribe stylus, probably contributed to the demise of the device, although we can’t say for sure if Sprint will eventually stop offering the EVO View 4G (Sprint’s version of the Flyer) at some point soon. Either way it looks like you’d be out of luck if you were thinking about getting your hands on the tablet.
