If you’re in the market for affordable Android smartphones, Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Y DUOS and Galaxy Y Pro DUOS, and as their “DUOS’ moniker suggests, they both will support dual-SIM capabilities, so if you’re the type that has one SIM for work and another for home, you will no longer have to bring two devices with you wherever you go.

As far as hardware specs are concerned, do not expect to be blown away by either device, nor should you compare them with higher-end devices like the Galaxy S2, Droid RAZR or the Galaxy Nexus, but if you’re just looking to fire off a quick email or do some light browsing, we’re guessing that both these phones should be up for the task. Starting with the Galaxy Y DUOS, it features a 3.14″ QVGA 320×240 display, 384MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage that can expanded via microSD card and will run on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3.

The Galaxy Y Pro DUOS sacrifices a bit of screen real estate in favor of a physical QWERTY keyboard that is reminiscent of the Blackberry keyboard. For those who prefer physical keys, this could be the phone for you. It features a 2.6″ QVGA display with pretty much the same specs as the Galaxy Y DUOS with the exception of its physical keyboard. No word on when it will be made available or how much it will cost, but like we said, based on the specs we just mentioned, neither the Galaxy Y DUOS nor the Galaxy Y Pro DUOS will be breaking the bank any time soon.
