Galaxy Nexus launch date postponed?

There has been several rumors going around that suggested that we might be seeing Verizon launch the Galaxy Nexus on the 9th of December. Unfortunately given that it’s already the 8th of December and still no word from Verizon, we’re starting to think that maybe Verizon will not be meeting that date after all.

Now it appears that Verizon employees have been tipping off several blogs saying that the 9th of December launch date was been scrapped. This would imply that the 9th was indeed the planned release but for whatever reason, Verizon decided to push it back. This is unfortunate news for those who have been eager to get their hands on the much awaited device, especially since those living in Europe have already gotten their hands on it and have been enjoying it for nearly a month.

So when will we see the device? Will it actually make it in time for the end of the year? Until Verizon actually comes forward with an official release date, we’re pretty much left in the dark just like you guys.
