ARCHOS unveils 70b Honeycomb tablet for under $200
Amazon’s Kindle Fire has been doing rather well for itself, netting some pretty impressive numbers, and apart from its hardware, we’re guessing its low entry point at $199 was what helped made it a more attractive purchase for those who might not have been able to afford higher end tablets. Well, looking to capitalize on the low price of Kindle Fire, ARCHOS has unveiled the 70b tablet which they’re claiming is the first Honeycomb tablet for under $200.
The 70b features specs such as a 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 1024×600 display resolution, 8GB of internal storage with microSD for memory expansion, and let’s not forget that it will run on Android’s Honeycomb 3.2 with access to the Android Market and Google apps, and all of this can be had for $199. Not too shabby, right? Unfortunately no word on when ARCHOS will be launching the 70b tablet, but perhaps there is a chance that it could go on display during CES 2012.
