Good news Verizon subscribers, the carrier has surpassed their goal of 178 4G LTE markets with the addition of 14 new markets, bringing a total of markets that are covered by the carrier’s 4G LTE speeds to 179. It seems that according to the carrier, this means that they have effectively covered over 50% of the US with their blazing 4G LTE connections.
These 14 new markets consists of Little Rock, AK; Savannah, GA; Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, IA; Lexington, KY; Starkville, MS; Kansas City and Springfield/Branson, MO; Lincoln, NE; Orange County, NY; Greater Providence, RI; Rapid City, SD; Roanoke, VA; and Appleton/Oshkosh, WI. Ellipsis 10 Tablet From Verizon Announced
It looks like the folks over at Verizon have stepped up to the plate by offering a brand new tablet for the masses which will follow up from their 2013 offering, which was the 7” Ellipsis. This time around, the tablet on offering would be known as the Ellipsis 10, and based on the name alone, it is rather obvious that this is a 10” device.
It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop however, so forget about Marshmallow at the moment. It will also be accompanied by the likes of 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, where it sports a 5MP camera at the back, with a 2MP front-facing shooter, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, “angular firing stereo speakers”, 16GB of internal memory, 4G LTE connectivity and a beefy 9,100 mAh battery. It will retail for $199.99 a pop with a new two-year contract, or you can pick it up or $299.99 all-in. [Press Release]

Verizon’s LG G3 Gets Android 5.0 Lollipop Update
So, you happen to be a Verizon Wireless subscriber, and own an LG G3 flagship device. If that is the case, then chances are you would have noticed that your device is more or less the last to pick up the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, at least among the other carriers that also offer the handset. Being the biggest doesn’t mean that one is the fastest, but then again, there is always the other adage of “better late than never”, right?
We are pleased to inform Verizon LG G3 owners that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now available for download, although it might take some time for the rollout to be completed across the entire spectrum of their customers, as with any other update rollout, regardless of the mobile carrier.
