Verizon MAP outs Xoom 2 release date and price

Interested in getting your hands on the brand new Motorola tablets? The good news is that  thanks to a leaked Verizon MAP, prices and release dates for the two new Motorola tablets have been outed. It seems that we can expect both the Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition to hit Verizon’s stores come 8th of December, with the top of line Xoom 2 model at 64GB coming in at a price of a whopping $729.99.

Interestingly they have been referred to as the Motorola Tablet, as opposed to the Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition monikers that we have come to expect. This would suggest that Verizon will indeed be rebranding these tablets as the Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2 respectively. If Motorola’s new tablets sound appealing to you, the 8th of December might be a date worth marking down on your calendar.
