Looking for an external keyboard for your tablet? Short of buying those bulky keyboard cases, Verbatim has announced their new portable keyboard for tablets. This keyboard will be the second generation portable keyboard that Verbatim has released, and as expected it will pair with your tablet via Bluetooth.

It will be compatible with Apple’s iPad series and a variety of Android tablets, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab series and the Motorola Xoom. Basically if your tablet supports Bluetooth pairing, it looks like the Verbatim portable keyboard shouldn’t be an issue. It will come with a carrying case and is foldable, as pictured above. It will be able to pair with up to six devices at any given time, and will feature media keys to allow you to control media playback.

The Verbatim portable keyboard is available now for $79, which seems a little steep, but then again that’s the price you’ve got to pay if you want a tactile keyboard experience for your tablet.
