Unlocked iPhone 4S now available from Apple

If you’d rather not be tied down to any of the carriers for an iPhone 4S, the good news is that Apple’s online website is now offering customers the chance to purchase an unlocked iPhone 4S, although it is a lot more expensive without a plan, but for frequent travelers who require an unlocked iPhone, this is probably for you.

The iPhone 4S will come in three sizes, same as the ones on the carriers. The unlocked 16GB will set you back $649, the 32GB will cost $749 and the 64GB model will come with a whopping price tag of $849. According to the website, the unlocked units is expected to start shipping in 1-2 weeks.
