Samsung Galaxy Nexus will cost $199 on contract

It appears that thanks to a popup Flash ad on Verizon’s website could have leaked the price of the Galaxy Nexus when it goes on sale. As you can see in the screenshot above, the ad has revealed that the Galaxy Nexus will go for $199.99 on a two year contract when it is released. Unfortunately no release date was revealed, but assuming the intel on the DROID 4 release is good, December 8th is starting to look like a real possibility.

Clicking on the ad takes you to a page where the Galaxy Nexus is not listed which suggests that this ad was not meant to go out yet. The pricing on the $199.99 also seems to go against Verizon’s typical pricing of $299.99 on contract for their high end 4G LTE devices, so let’s hope that the $199.99 pricing will stick when the device is released.
