The Kindle Fire’s source code has been released, which means that developers will be able to get their hands on it and start cooking up custom ROMs and what not for the tablet. Unfortunately what good is a ROM if you are unable to install it, right? The good news is that a root method for the Kindle Fire has recently been discovered, so if you’re interested in rooting your brand new Kindle Fire tablet, head on down to the Android Forums for the instructions.
As always we have to remind you that this is done at your own risk, and if this is the first time owning an Android tablet and have no idea what rooting is about, we suggest doing a bit of your own homework before deciding if this is for you. For those experienced or daring enough, go ahead and knock yourselves out!
