More details about Google’s music store revealed ahead of launch

Google’s music store is set to launch tonight, but it appears that more info regarding the upcoming service has been leaked prior to its release. According to sources, Google’s music store is said to resemble Apple’s iTunes that will allow users to purchase music. It also appears that Google has managed to sign on three major labels to their service – EMI, Sony and Universal. All that is missing is Warner, but with Universal holding the largest catalogue, we’re guessing that users shouldn’t have a problem searching for songs that they want.

As far as price is concerned, songs will be sold between $0.99 and $1.29, but word has it that Google may offer discounts, although we’re not sure in what sort of capacity. The “twist” that we were told about Google’s music store is its ability to share songs on Google+, Google’s social networking website. This will allow users who have purchased songs to share a couple of “free” listens to that song with their contact list in Google+.

How true is all of this? Well we’ll have to wait until tonight to confirm it, but for now we’re curious as to what role T-Mobile will be playing in this, and how Google’s music store will integrate with their Android mobile operating system.
