So we know that the ASUS Transformer Prime will be the first Android tablet to run on NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor, but it looks like before the year is out, we will be able to expect at least two Tegra 3 quad-core tablets in the market as a Lenovo Android tablet has recently been outed.

The device will run on a 1.6GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor. It will also feature 2GB worth of RAM, a rear-facing camera and a body that is made out of a “special fusion-skin”, whatever that means. Interestingly it will also sport a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device that will also double up as an optical joystick for gaming. It will also run on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 as its platform of choice.

No word on when the device will be launching and we only have “by the end of the year” to go on. It will be interesting to see whether ASUS or Lenovo will be getting their quad-core tablets into the market first.
