iPhone 4S gaining popularity on Flickr

Apple’s iPhone has always featured a pretty decent camera, not to mention the plethora of photography apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic that has kept users snapping happily away. For those who may not have known, the iPhone 4 is currently Flickr’s most popular cameraphone although that may soon change as the iPhone 4S is currently on the climb.

As you can see from the graph above, the iPhone 4S has started rising, beating out the HTC EVO 4G (the only Android phone on the list) and its older siblings, the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. The iPhone 4 is still way ahead of the iPhone 4S but that gap is expected to start closing over time. With its 8MP sensor, high-end infrared filter, a face detection feature and the ability to record in 1080p Full HD video, it’s not that hard to imagine that the iPhone 4S’ camera is gaining popularity among Flickr users.
