Barnes & Noble has just announced their new Nook Tablet, whose looks seem to be inspired from the Nook Color, and it is expected to be made available come 17th November and will set you back $249, which is $50 more expensive than Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

The device will come with a 1GHz dual-core processor under the hood, a 7” VividView display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and WiFi capabilities. It will also come loaded with a bunch of apps such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, Rhapsody, Grooveshark and MOG and is said to feature 11.5 hours worth of reading time, and 9 hours worth of video watching time.

With Amazon’s Kindle Fire being a direct competitor, it will be interesting to see which tablet/e-reader hybrid will prevail.
