AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket will be available in white
If the black colored Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket is a bit too grim and boring for your tastes, the good news is that AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket will also be available in white. This move has been replicated before with the white Galaxy S2 and the pink Galaxy S2, so we don’t see why a white version of the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket would be out of the question.
Apart from the new paint job, the internals of the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket remain the same, which means that we can expect a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.5” Super AMOLED Plus diplay, an 8MP/2MP rear/front-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity and will run on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3. For those looking forward to ICS 4.0, the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket has also been confirmed to receive the update some time in 2012.
So, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.
The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. If you would like to fancy your chances with an upcoming mid-range device that seems to hover more on the higher end scheme of things, then the Samsung Galaxy A9 would certainly fit you to a ‘t’, so to speak. After all, accessory manufacturer ITSKINS has shared more details concerning this device, with the Galaxy A9 touted to be a wee bit more compact as opposed to the Galaxy S7 Plus, never mind that both handsets will come with 6.0″ screens.
Measurements of the Galaxy A9 include 161.9mm x 81.3mm x 7.34mm, where it would be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note5, while sporting a metal and glass design, a fingerprint reader that should be able to handle mobile payments, a Full HD Super AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 620 chipset, among others.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will no doubt be a smartphone that many people would look forward to picking up when it is ready, taking into consideration how flagship devices are always in demand. Well, the Galaxy S7 has been said to target an early 2016 release, and some photos of the alleged device has already been snapped, although one should take into consideration that the original Weibo post is no longer there.
Of course, do take this particular leak with a pinch of salt, since it could be one of the numerous smartphones from various manufacturers that could roll out a similar looking handset. In the leaked photos, you can see a wrap-around metal border design, which seems to be the in thing at least for the next couple of years.
