AT&T offers 4G-capable Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9

I guess Samsung themselves have yet to settle on the right sized tablet, having rolled out the 7″ Galaxy Tab first, followed by the 10.1″ Galaxy Tab, and now we have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 which obviously, has a 8.9″ screen size. What makes this particular model so different is the radio bands that it supports underneath the hood – we’re talking about 4G LTE connectivity that lets you access blazing fast Internet wherever you are, assuming of course, you’re under the umbrella of AT&T’s 4G network coverage, of course.

This will be the second 4G LTE-enabled tablet for AT&T customers, where it will be made available to the masses from November 20th onwards – letting you start your work week with a bang after you had your fair share of fun with it on Sunday, I suppose. As part of its promotion, AT&T will also throw in either a Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket or a Samsung Galaxy S II for free – as long as those phones are signed up to a two year agreement, of course.

Just to recap, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 here will run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb while aided by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, sporting 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot. The asking price? $479.99, and also with a two-year commitment. Pretty shrewd marketing effort, letting you get a tablet and smartphone in one fell swoop so that you don’t go plucking an apple off from another orchard…[Press Release]
