Acer Iconia Tab A200 gains FCC approval

It looks like the Acer’s Iconia Tab A200 has recently received the FCC’s approval, but unfortunately apart from its dimensions pictured above, we still have no idea what the device looks like. Some are speculating that perhaps the the A200 could be yet another 7” tablet, much like its predecessor the A100, or it could be sporting a larger display, maybe along the lines of 10.1” or 8.9”.

In terms of hardware the A200 remains pretty much a mystery as well, although it’s probably safe to guess that it will sport a dual-core processor, WiFi connectivity and a front facing camera. A safe bet for platforms would probably be Android’s Honeycomb 3.x, unless Acer gets their act together and launches the tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich on board. To be honest, it’s a bit hard to get excited about a tablet that we know nothing about. Let’s hope that more details will be revealed over time.
