Samsung Galaxy Nexus specs revised

Yesterday specs of the Samsung Nexus Prime, or rather the Galaxy Nexus (Nexus Prime is the code name apparently) were leaked. According to the sources it would run on a 1GHz TI OMAP dual-core processor along with a 5MP rear-facing camera. Granted a 1GHz isn’t all that bad, but many were questioning its 5MP camera, which seemed awfully small for a phone that big.

According to GSMArena who got the exclusive, those specs were a slightly off. Thanks to their own sources, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will instead feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor running on Samsung’s very own Exynos chipset. It will also come with an 8MP camera that’s capable of 1080p video recording, a 2050mAh battery and it will supposedly be a “world” phone in the sense that it will sport dual GSM/CDMA radios.

It will be LTE-capable and will most likely sport Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS. While this sounds more like the phone many are expecting, until the phone has actually be officially announced, we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt.
