Samsung confirms Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy S2

Good news Samsung owners! If your Samsung Android device isn’t too dated, it looks like it will be receiving the much anticipated Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update in 2012. Samsung Italy has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S2, Note, Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9, Tab 7.7 and Tab 7.0 Plus will be getting the ICS update.

This is not to say that Samsung will be abandoning any of their older phones, like the original Galaxy S, but the phones listed above are confirmed. Who knows, Samsung could be issuing ICS updates to some of their older models in the future, but for now if you’re an owner of the above mentioned devices, 2012 will be a year to look forward to.
