Nokia sees potential in Windows 8 tablets

In a recent interview, Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop has expressed interest in Windows 8 tablets, saying that there’s an opportunity to be explored. Given that Android has a slew of tablets already in the market, and with Apple’s iPad leading the charge in the tablet scene, it’s only natural that Microsoft would love to hop on board the tablet bandwagon with something a little more consumer friendly.

At the moment the current Windows tablets seem to be limited to enterprise users, with specs and pricing that seem more like a computer rather than an affordable and fun gadget to be used on the go. With Nokia sort of being the new name and face of Windows Phone devices, could Nokia be poised to release a Windows 8 tablet in the future? We’d love to entertain that idea of that possibility, but perhaps we should wait and see how Nokia does with their newly launched Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 first.
