iPhone 4 cases may not be compatible with iPhone 4S?

As far as dimensions are concerned, the iPhone 4S does not seem to be any different from the iPhone 4, which is a good thing for case manufacturers since they will be able to put out cases without having to undergo a redesign, or so it seems. According to some photos that have surfaced on the internet, which has compared the iPhone 4S against the iPhone 4, there are subtle changes that may not end up with the iPhone 4S not being 100% compatible with iPhone 4 cases.

As with the picture above, you can see that the “hold” key or the silent toggle has moved rather drastically, with the volume buttons shifting ever so slightly. This could prove a problem with certain cases that may have designed a rather tight fit around the volume and silent toggle switches. Could this prove to be disastrous for case manufacturers? I guess we will have to wait and see when the phone has been released.
