Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 will be first launched on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus device, with the update being made available for other smartphones several weeks after the Galaxy Nexus launch. The good news is that for developers who can’t wait to get their hands on the source code and start creating ROMs, apps or mods for the platform and devices, is that according to developer Dan Morrill, Google will be releasing the source code for Ice Cream Sandwich once it is available on devices. Granted this doesn’t give us a specific time frame or window, at least we know that Google has plans to release the source code.
