If you own the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, the good news is that according to a tweet by the company, the tablet will be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich update! No date was given, but it’s quite exciting news as the Transformer could very well be the first tablet we see that will run on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, which we know is possible since we saw emulations based on the ICS SDK.
This begs the question as to whether its successor, the Transformer Prime will get the ICS update too. If it does this will be one heck of a device, not only being the first tablet to sport NVIDIA’s Tegra-3 quad-core processor, but Ice Cream Sandwich to boot!
