Smartphones in Europe use a micro USB charger, and it’s a standard that the European Commission hopes to implement in all phones in the future. Apple however has used the 30 pin dock connector charger, but it looks like this time round for the 4S (and other iPhones), Apple has released an adapter that while still uses a 30 pin dock connector, will allow a micro USB cable to be plugged into the adapter. The adapter will set you back £8 and it will be available from Apple’s online store.
