Verizon MAP reveals HTC Rhyme

Published

on

Is music your thing? According to a leaked Verizon MAP (Minimum Advertised Price), a device called the HTC Rhyme will be making its way onto Verizon on the 29th of September. Given that HTC has recently acquired Beats by Dre, we expect that the HTC Rhyme will be a device that will focus more on delivering musical capabilities to their users. As to what specifically? We can only imagine.

Interestingly the LTE version of the Motorola Xoom will be arriving on Verizon 8th of September, which is the same day as the Droid Bionic’s launch, so for those who have been impressed with the speeds that have been reported on the LTE version of the Xoom will be glad to know that come 8th of September, you should be able to get the device. The bad news is that current Xoom users are still waiting for their turn to upgrade to the LTE version.

ellipsis10It looks like the folks over at Verizon have stepped up to the plate by offering a brand new tablet for the masses which will follow up from their 2013 offering, which was the 7” Ellipsis. This time around, the tablet on offering would be known as the Ellipsis 10, and based on the name alone, it is rather obvious that this is a 10” device.

It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop however, so forget about Marshmallow at the moment. It will also be accompanied by the likes of 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, where it sports a 5MP camera at the back, with a 2MP front-facing shooter, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, “angular firing stereo speakers”, 16GB of internal memory, 4G LTE connectivity and a beefy 9,100 mAh battery. It will retail for $199.99 a pop with a new two-year contract, or you can pick it up or $299.99 all-in. [Press Release]

Published

on

lg-g3-lollipopSo, you happen to be a Verizon Wireless subscriber, and own an LG G3 flagship device. If that is the case, then chances are you would have noticed that your device is more or less the last to pick up the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, at least among the other carriers that also offer the handset. Being the biggest doesn’t mean that one is the fastest, but then again, there is always the other adage of “better late than never”, right?

We are pleased to inform Verizon LG G3 owners that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now available for download, although it might take some time for the rollout to be completed across the entire spectrum of their customers, as with any other update rollout, regardless of the mobile carrier.
