Verizon announces 4G LTE upgrades available for Motorola Xoom

Looking forward to getting 4G LTE on your Motorola Xoom? Well the good news for current Xoom owners on Verizon’s network is that the carrier has announced that the upgrade will be made available starting tomorrow. Basically what you will need to do is send your device back to Verizon who will then make the necessary hardware changes in order to make your Xoom 4G LTE compatible.

This process is free and according to Verizon, no change in your data plan is necessary. If you’re looking to get your hands on a 4G LTE Xoom tablet, come 13th October onwards all Motorola Xoom’s from Verizon will come with 4G LTE enabled for $499 on a two year contract.
