Taito launches iPad arcade cabinet

ThinkGeek’s iCade isn’t news, but for those unfamiliar with it, it’s basically a dock of sorts where you can connect your iPad to it and transform it into a mini arcade machine, complete with joysticks and buttons. Granted it’s probably a novelty value item at best, but it looks like Taito is interested in getting in on the action and has released their own arcade cabinet.

It is expected to be launched in Japan come 11th of October for a whopping $205, which makes it the most expensive out of the bunch (the iCade and Atari’s joystick accessory). We’re guessing fans of the Space Invader game will probably be the most interested, and it’s safe to assume that there will be some Taito arcade classics that will come bundled with the arcade cabinet.
