Research suggests iPhone users less likely to switch to another brand

A new survey conducted by UBS Research has revealed that in terms of retention rates, iPhone users were less likely to jump ship to other platforms compared to Android, Symbian or Blackberry users. It does sound vaguely pro-Apple, but we’re guessing that this has to do with apps. With research that suggests that Android users are less likely to pay for apps, we’re guessing that iPhone users who have paid for apps don’t want to see it go to waste therefore their next smartphone purchase would be one of the same platform.

However let’s not take this survey as the truth since there are a variety of reasons as to why users choose to remain loyal to one platform and not another, but apart from the apps reason we gave, what make you loyal to your smartphone platform?
