Nook Color 2 in the works? (Rumor)

The Barnes and Noble Nook Color is a rather unique eReader. Unlike Amazon’s Kindle, with a little hacking it can be turned into a functionable Android tablet. For those who are fans of the Nook Color, according to Digitimes, the successor to the Nook Color (Nook Color 2?) is in the works and is expected to be ready some time this month.

No word on its specs but word has it that it is expected to make the switch from a traditional touchscreen to a full color eInk display, making it the first mass-produced eReader to feature such technology. We have to admit that we’re curious as to how Android would look like on eInk.

If you’re on the lookout for an eReader, perhaps this might be one worth checking out, assuming of course the rumors are to be believed. I guess we will have to wait and find out.
