Next Android build to be called Jelly Bean? (Rumor)

Ever wondered what the next build of Android is going to be called? If you have been following Android from the start, you will have known that they have been going in alphabetical order – Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and the latest Ice Cream Sandwich has yet to be released.

Now according to the rumors, Google’s next Android build may be called Jelly Bean, keeping true to the alphabetical order of sweet stuff. If you’re wondering what the significance of this is, according to the same rumors, some of the game changing features that is expected to be making its way onto Ice Cream Sandwich have apparently been pushed back to Jelly Bean.

However Ice Cream Sandwich has still be slated as being a major release and major architectural, functional and design changes will still be making its way onto the update. These are just rumors though, so I guess we will have to wait and see what Ice Cream Sandwich brings to table when it is released in October/November.
