LG Optimus LTE on the way?

Heads up folks – it looks like the LTE version of the LG Optimus is on its way, sporting a rather uninspired name of the LG Optimus LTE, but I guess if speed is your thing then you will probably be able to look past its name.

As it implies, the Optimus LTE will be compatible on LTE networks such as Verizon and will come with a 4.5” IPS HD LCD with 1280×720 resolution. It will sport a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and will be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 with a 8MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing camera.

No word on how much it will cost or when it is expected to hit, but based on its hardware specs and LTE compatibility, this is a phone we don’t think many people will be passing up on.
