ITC to review HTC alleged patent infringement case

In yet another Apple lawsuit, this time being with HTC, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) has indicated that they have plans to review the earlier decision that had found HTC to be in violation of Apple patents. The ITC will be reviewing a number of factors within the patents, along with how the patents are used now by both Apple and HTC.

The trial is set for December, and it looks like if the initial judgment is upheld, HTC will not be allowed to import certain handsets into the US, which sounds oddly familiar (Apple vs Samsung anyone?), although considering how HTC has recently sued Apple using some of Google’s patents (which they had bought), it will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.
