iRoom iDock wall mount for your iPad

If you are looking to mount your iPad on a wall in any of your rooms at home or office, Bracketron has announced their iRoom iDock, which is a wall mount designed for the iPad which appears to be rather different from other wall mounts currently available in the market.

It features a motorized docking system with a proximity sensor (which can be disabled) that senses when you’re close, and opens automatically for you to insert/remove the iPad. When the iPad is mounted, it sits flush against the wall which means that we’re guessing a little of remodeling and renovation needs to be done if you want it to be truly flushed against the wall.

Sounds like a pretty cool way to control various home appliances, and if you have AirPlay speakers positioned in your house, we don’t see why the iPad can’t be used as a media center that can be controlled from the wall.
